A Salute To Edd Gould (1988-2012)

I uploaded this piece last year shortly after the passing of Edd Gould (a.k.a Eddsworld)...this is one of the few images I'm actually upset about losing from my old gallery after some asshole hacked my account last week and deleted all my work.

A grave deal of respect do I have for Edd Gould, for even though I never knew him personally, he gave me one of the greatest gifts you can ever receive in life...joyful laughter. My life has not always been a basket of rose petals and fine wine, and so to me something so simple as a good laugh is more valuable than a mountain of gold. Edd gave me many hours of joyous laughter with his witty and imaginative cartoons he made from the heart with help from his friends, and for that I am forever grateful. He has also been a great inspiration to me and many other young aspiring animators and cartoonists; as he was an independent animator who became insanely popular online through sites like Newgrounds and Youtube; becoming something of a pioneer for online animators and a inspirational idol for independent cartoon-making. I have always desired to be an independent animator making my series free of Big Business entertainment companies and their toxic corporate greed, and thanks to Edd Gould and many other popular online animators on the web today, I now know my dream is possible, so indeed I have much to thank Edd Gould for. Even though we have never met, he's one of the greatest friends I ever had.
