How I Came To The Occult

For over the last 10 years I have been deeply engaged in both studying and practicing the forbidden secrets of the Occult. I studied various aspects of the Occult and different pagan religions before I attempted my first ritual over a decade ago on Halloween. Since then I've become something of a scholar of the "Forbidden Sciences", and my studies and practices continue on to this day (though not as intensely as when I was in High School and College), but it's amazing to think this taboo lifestyle and obsession began with a desire for friendship.

I have never been very good with relationships, and this holds true even into the present. My extremely abnormal and eccentric nature make it so most people cannot really stand to be in my presence for too long, and finding someone who truly understands me on a deep emotional level is virtually impossible. All of my friendships have basically taken the same path; gradually we drift apart and eventually we stop speaking altogether. As I have grown older my eccentricity has only become more pronounce while those I grew up with have matured into functional adults. While they live their lives within the system of the standard social structure, I hide away in the shadows forced to limit contact with people as my unstable mindset make prolonged dealings with others tricky and potential hazardous.

Compared to the life I lead now, being haunted by demons wouldn't seem so bad...at least they'd be company, but just my luck that even demons seem to find me too bizarre for comfort.
