The Training of Jamal S. Jackson--1

This is part of a series I started a while back (and intend to continue soon) that illustrates the strenuous martial arts training I underwent under the tutelage of my dear friend, Whiskers Alleycat. Whiskers is a master of the mysterious martial fighting style known as "Cat-kwondo", and after much coaxing, begging, and butt-kissing I was finally able to convince him to teach me the art...so I'd stop getting my ass kicked by the neighborhood bullies. I never did manage to become as skilled a fighter as Whiskers, but I was able to learn enough to hold my own in a fight, and eventually the training paid off when I donned the guise of "The Caped Revenger" and began fighting the criminal underworld in our hometown of Goonsburg.

You know it's actually pretty cool when I think about. I'm not too far off from being like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They were trained by a rat, and I was trained by a cat. How awesome is that?
