Chapter 1: Dom's Suicide

About three month following the untimely passing of his childhood pal, college undergrad, Kirk Rogers, moves into the old apartment of his late friend, Dominic Russo, in an ill-advised attempt to seek closure as he feels partially responsible for Dom's death having ignored him for almost a year and a half prior to focus on his relationship with his current girlfriend, Christie Stevens.

Almost immediately after moving in Kirk begins suffering from terrible night terrors, each one worst than the last, wherein he is plagued by a vast barrage of inhuman surreal monstrosities and nightmarish hellscape scenarios all seemingly orchestrated by a yet-unseen malicious conductor hellbent on robbing young Kirk of his last remaining shreds of sanity.

Chapter 2: Psycho Dreams

Not more than a fortnight has passed since Kirk moved into Dom's old apartment, and already the poor man looks to be at the absolute end of his rope. Despite Christie's concerns, Kirk insists that he is okay and can get through this on his own. Little does he realize how wrong he is, for that very night the devilish force responsible for his nightly misery finally reveals itself. That night in his dreams, Kirk is pulled across the veil into a place known only as "The Damned Country" where he is forced to attend a macabre tea party hosted by a skeletal cartoon demon who goes by the name of Toon-Eyes.

Toon-Eyes (along with his perverse companion, "Wicked Tongue") confides in Kirk that life as a cartoon killer in a surreal reality is not all falling anvils and custard pies. His profaned life lacks any true sense of worth or merit because since all of his victims are living cartoons none of them can truly be killed; leaving his cherished profession as a psycho killer to feel like little more than somebody's sick idea of a joke. Because of this Toon-Eyes states that he wants to strike a deal with Kirk and use him as a conduit to crossover to the other side where he can give himself a brand-new spin on life, because in the "Real World" real people can die FOR REAL. However when Kirk refuses to help him willingly Toon-Eyes reveals that it was he who drove Dom to suicide and threatens to make Kirk suffer as he forces his way to the other side through him in spite of his refusal. Kirk is then jolted back to the waking world when a freak lightning bolt strikes the side of his window tossing him out of bed. Even now, wide awake, he can still hear the voice of Toon-Eyes laughing within his mind.

Chapter 3: Shit Gets Real

After police and ambulance are called to investigate the lightning striking the side of Kirk's apartment. Christie arrives afraid for Kirk's well-being. She pleads with him to leave with her that very night, but in spite of everything that has happened, Kirk aggressively turns her down, angrily telling her to get the hell out of his life. Kirk is drunk with anxiety and confusion (partly brought on by Toon-Eyes' influence). His fear, guilt, and self-pity have caused him to redirect his anger toward Christie as he now accuses her of making him abandon Dom when he needed him most.

Feeling emotionally hurt and betrayed, Christie storms out of the apartment and drives off leaving Kirk alone to face his own demons (but namely one in particular). It's then that something far more sinister happens. Kirk starts to undergo drastic violent spasms of pain and freakish unearthly transformations. After several minutes of this the pain building in Kirk's stomach expels itself up and outward causing him to vomit forth unreal volumes of black bubbling ink which pools onto the floor practically flooding the entire room, and from that ink the surreal figure of Toon-Eyes starts to rise and take shape like a 3D line sketch of a living cartoon. Another bolt of lightning strikes the building causing the lights in the room to flare up. From this light, a rainbow of colors appears and spins around the living line drawing until with another flash Toon-Eyes stands before Kirk in all his gruesome glory.

Finally alive in the Human World, Toon-Eyes takes a moment to gloat and mock Kirk, laughing at his self-pitying misery. Kirk tries to stop Toon-Eyes from leaving, but Toon-Eyes knocks him out with a rolling pin and stuffs him in the closet. The demon toon and his foul-mouthed companion decide to take in the sights of the town, but not before slaying an elderly couple who came to complain about the noise. Toon-Eyes also kills one more random guy on the street before the scene shifts to the next day.

Chapter 4: Study Hard, Die Harder

The next day, Kirk awakes to find himself stuck in the closet. It takes him a bit, but he finally manages to free himself knocking down the door and falling to the floor accompanied by unreal cartoonish sound effects. Before Kirk has time to wonder where the hell those noises came from or recollect on what had happen the night before, a series of images flash across his mind. He sees visions of Christie, his friends from high school, the university, and his journalism professor. Kirk sees them all in his mind before catching a glimpse of Toon-Eyes' menacing glare followed by his demented laughter. From that alone, Kirk knows his friends are in trouble. He bolts out of his apartment to try and get to the college to stop his demonic adversary; not even noticing the deceased old couple sitting on the couch watching a blank TV screen like it was Saturday night.

Meanwhile, at the college, Toon-Eyes wastes no time in killing the people Kirk saw in his vision. The first to go are two of Kirk's friends from high school, a lustful pair of horny lovebirds, making out in a broom closet. Toon-Eyes kills them by pulling them through a portal into the Damned Country where they look up to find themselves trapped inside of a gigantic pinball machine. Toon-Eyes laughs as he puts the ball in play crushing the lovebirds in the process. It's at this point that Kirk arrives at the college and finding Christie tries to warn her, but of course she doesn't believe him, so instead he runs off to try and find his professor. However he is too late again as Toon-Eyes kills her by pulling her through a sink filled with water into the Damned Country where the poor woman finds herself floating in the darkest ocean depths. The woman becomes allured by the ghostly apparition of a beautiful gleaming mermaid...however she quickly comes to realize that the mermaid is only a bio-luminescent lure for a colossal leviathan; which understandably gives the poor woman one hell of a fright.

Kirk arrives in the classroom to find the professor drowning with her face in the sink. He tries to pull her out but Wicked Tongue pops out of the water, wraps around her neck, and pulls her back in. The professor drowns in spite of Kirk trying to save her, but not before Toon-Eyes snaps a picture with the professor's camera which makes it look as though Kirk was purposely trying to drown her himself.

After that it's a mad chase as Kirk tries to run Toon-Eyes down failing to stop him as he kills random people around the college, leaving evidence behind to implicate Kirk in their murders. Kirk finally grabs a fire axe from an emergency box on the wall and chases after Toon-Eyes swinging and missing as he tries to dispatch the murder-crazy cartoon. When Toon-Eyes finally turns a corner and ducks into a locker room, Kirk charges in after him only to find himself standing over his girlfriend, Christie, with the axe poised to strike. He stops himself before striking a deathly blow, but soon after he is tackled by campus security and hauled away screaming like a lunatic trying once again to warn Christie about the cartoon killer.

Chapter 5: Goin' Crazy

Downtown, Kirk is undergoing some heavy questioning at the precinct. The police have called in a psychiatric evaluator to determine whether or not he is fit to stand trial. The evaluation is not going well, but things only get worse when Toon-Eyes makes his appearance. Toon-Eyes shows up, taking the place of the psychiatrist while seemingly stopping time. Again the demon toon takes the oppurtunity to mock Kirk whilst also explaining that the more lives he takes in the Real World the more real he himself will become while Kirk will gradually fade out of existence. After that Toon-Eyes also leaves Kirk with one more extremely distressing thought as he promises to take "good care" of his sweetheart, Christie. This of course sends Kirk into a rage. He tries to tackle Toon-Eyes in retaliation only to find himself straddling the psychiatrist choking the life out of him. As Kirk is seized and restrained by the police he sees Toon-Eyes laughing at him in the mirror before disappearing through a dark portal.

Later that night after Christie has a cry, being consoled by her roommate and friend, she decides to go into work at the local salon to try and take her mind off the pain for awhile. This all happening as Kirk sits in a holding cell awaiting transfer. A couple of thugs (who obviously have nothing better to do) decide to rough Kirk up for kicks, but at the same time that they're doing this Toon-Eyes decides to drop in at a local nightclub and shake his boney booty.

Toon-Eyes breaks into a hellish song and dance number which causes a host of skeletal minions and lovecraftian beasts to appear slaughtering everybody in the club who are unable to escape because the doors are magically sealed. Every person that's killed causes Toon-Eyes' power to grow which in turn sends Kirk into a psychotic frenzy as he convulses and flails upon the floor of his cell freaking out the other inmates and police who come to investigate. For every person in the nightclub that dies Kirk spazz out more rapidly undergoing wild cartoonish transformations until come the end of Toon-Eyes' song the demon toon's appearance has gone from a "rubber hose" 1930s style to a more retro 90's Disney/Warner Bros look while Kirk suddenly looks like a CGI-rendered character from a Dreamworks or Pixar film.

Chapter 6: Shave and a Haircut TOO CLOSE!

The next day ('round about closing time), Christie receives an unexpected visitor. It is the local police chief who comes to talk to Christie about Kirk. Understandably, Christie is distraught and doesn't want to talk, but after a bit of gentle coaxing the chief is just about to spill the beans about Kirk when all of a sudden Toon-Eyes appears, kicking down the door, taking both of them by surprise. The police chief tries to shoot him, but of course that doesn't have any effect. The chief then tells Christie to run as he pulls out his billy club and swings it at the evil toon, but Toon-Eyes just grabs the chief by the wrist and hurls him around slamming him a couple times against the floor before flinging him across the room into one of the salon chairs.

Bloodied, battered, and slowly dying from internal bleeding the chief can do virtually nothing as Toon-Eyes and Wicked Tongue zip across the room and spontaneously break out into a wild over-the-top "Barber of Seville"-style opera score wherein they both sing like tenors before Toon-Eyes whips out a massive straight-edge and lops off the police chief's head with a single mighty swing as both he and Wicked Tongue finish off their twisted song. As the police chief's head hits the floor and starts to roll, Toon-Eyes and Wicked Tongue begin calling out to their new little playmate,Christie, who is hiding under a table in the back office.

Meanwhile, back at the police station, a pair of FBI agents (Agents Marcus Wilder and Naakul Pandey) have been called in to further investigate the strange case of Kirk and his bizarre transformation, and things are only made worse for Kirk as the two investigating agents have a very strong Mulder and Scully vibe to them, with one of them (Agent Wilder) convinced beyond any doubt that Kirk is the first wave of a hostile alien invasion. Enraged by the utter insanity of all this, Kirk demands that they let him go and find Christie to keep her safe from Toon-Eyes, but of course nobody believes him (because honestly who'd ever believe something so ridiculous as cartoon characters coming to life and killing people).

Back at the salon, Toon-Eyes finds Christie resulting in a short ring-around-the-rosey moment before Christie finally douses him with a jug of nail polish remover whilst he and Wicked Tongue argue over who gets to do what to her (Toon-Eyes wants to kill her while Wicked Tongue presumably wants to rape her). This act buys her a bit of time as she rushes out of the salon heading toward the police precinct to find Kirk and get help, but the evil toon is far from done. Slowly, with Wicked Tongue's help, he starts to repaint himself as he vows to "get his hands on that bitch!"

Chapter 7: Toon-Eyes On The Beat

Having barely escaped the demon toon with her life, Christie races toward the police station through the busy city, but little does she realize that at that very moment the pair of FBI agents are getting ready to take Kirk away; moving him to a more secure, secret location where they can "get more answers". It's at this moment, while lamenting in his cell that Kirk realizes that he's no longer flesh and blood, but is instead made of pixels; a fact he discovers when his head suddenly passes through the bars. There is little time to act upon this notion though as the two FBI agents return to put him in handcuffs and take him away.

Meanwhile, back at the salon, Toon-Eyes and Wicked Tongue have almost finished painting themselves back into existence when Toon-Eyes looks out the window to see the police chief's patrol car. He then smiles devilishly as he instantly gets a despicable idea...a terrible miserable rotten idea, and at that very same time Christie arrives at the police station screaming about a killer toon having murdered the police chief back at the salon. Naturally, the police don't believe her and with reports coming in about the massacre at the nightclub the night before they decide to hold her for questioning suspecting she might be an accomplice or spy working for the "alien invaders".

While this is happening Kirk finally makes his move as the FBI agents are driving him out of town on the road out of the city. As they cross over an overpass Kirk starts to flex against the cuffs. He finds his wrists pass through them with little real effort. Kicking and punching the agents, Kirk flings himself against the window of the door passing through it with ease as since pixels are made of light particles windows are virtual non-existent to him now. Kirk falls onto and rolls across the highway causing a pile-up which he uses to his advantage making a mad dash toward the side of the overpass. Agent Wilder shoots at Kirk, but the bullets merely pass right through him since he's made of pixels hitting several innocent civilians instead. Kirk leaps from the edge of the overpass flinging himself toward the interstate below. The fall however seemingly kills him as his pixels break apart scattering across the pavement only to seconds later quickly glitch and reform themselves back together. Wilder and Pandey look on in utter amazement before Kirk takes off rushing back into the city.

Meantime, while all of this is happening, Toon-Eyes and Wicked Tongue are on the beat tearing around town in the police chief's car running people over, shooting people up, beating up random civilians and homeless people (in addition to a prostitute and her pimp), and topping it all off by mowing down an idyllic suburban neighborhood with machine gun fire and a flurry cartoon bombs. This massive body count once again takes its toll on Kirk. He can feel himself weaken as Toon-Eyes grows stronger, and then he gets a flash in his mind seeing Christie at the police station undergoing heavy questioning by the police. With that Kirk races back to the precinct to rescue her, sputtering and glitching out like a blinking Christmas light, for he knows that's where Toon-Eyes is planning to strike next.

At the police station, Christie is at her wits' end trying to repeatedly explain exactly what she saw, but all the police want to know is who's she really working for and how many are involved; convinced it's all part of some kind of widespread terrorist attack; with at least one of the cops insisting that she tell them more about the impending alien invasion. It's about then that the remaining cops who aren't spread around town investigating the city-wide murder spree hear the familiar sound of one of their own patrol car sirens...just moments before it smashes through the front doors at top speed.

The officers who weren't killed in the crash look on in absolute terror and amazement when Toon-Eyes leaps out through the broken windshield of the car and lands upon the hood decked out like Arnold Schwarzenegger in "The Terminator" jokingly exclaiming that,

"I'm here to kill bitches and chew gum...and I'm all out of gum." He says before blowing a bubble that pops and splatters on his face.

Immediately following this is a massive shootout between Toon-Eyes and the remaining police force, but due to being a cartoon AND a skeleton this is a gun fight Toon-Eyes easily wins cracking jokes like a bad comedian as he plugs every officer one after another. Not even the ones who try to turn-tail and run are able to get away, and now with nearly all the police dead Toon-Eyes turns his attention to the inmates held in the holding cells. Winking slyly as he waltzes into the corridor he says, "Like shooting fish in a barrel." This shortly after is followed by the sounds of screaming and gunfire.

Christie, who had been locked inside the interrogation room as soon as the shooting started, bangs against the door pleading to be let out. Her wish gets granted as none other than Kirk thrust open the door beckoning her to follow him, but his new uncanny appearance is understandably shocking to her. However the sounds of more gunfire and death quickly coax her into suspending her disbelief. The two try to make a run for it, but a surviving policeman confronts them in the hall, telling them to stop or he'll fire. Kirk pushes Christie to the side and puts up his hand telling her to run. He knows that because he's made of pixels the bullets won't hurt him, but at that moment as the officer fires Kirk transforms again, this time transforming into a rotoscope-style animated character. This time, instead of the bullets passing through him like they did when he was made of pixels, they rip through him as if he was made of paper.

Kirk falls to the ground in pain as Christie rushes back to his side. As she tries to help him up the cop prepares to fire once more, but before he can a deafening BANG resounds through the hall accompanied by the officer's guts being blasted out of his body. Through the gaping hole in his midsection Kirk and Christie see Toon-Eyes standing behind the man grinning like a psycho. With Toon-Eyes and Wicked Tongue giving chase Kirk and Christie rush out the back exit barricading it behind them with a dumpster. By the time Toon-Eyes finally does blow his way out of the police station with a cartoon bazooka, Kirk and Christie having given him the slip with Christie hiding in another dumpster as Kirk poses as a piece of graffiti on the brick wall of the alley.

Chapter 8: Massacre At The Hospital

After escaping Toon-Eyes, Christie insists on taking Kirk to the hospital to get someone to check out his wounds and figure out what's wrong with him. Kirk objects, but he's too weak to fight her on it. When the two arrive at the hospital Christie hides Kirk's appearance and identity using a trench coat and ski cap, but despite telling the receptionist that her boyfriend had just been shot and mugged they are still forced to wait in the waiting room. When they finally get to see a doctor the doctor and his nurse are left utterly speechless after seeing Kirk's unreal appearance. In secret, one of the nurses tries to call the police, but as you might imagine there is no answer.

In the midst of all this, Toon-Eyes arrives at the hospital sneaking in on a gurney pushed by a pair of paramedics (both of whom he kills along with a doctor and a nurse). Following this Toon-Eyes starts killing random people throughout the facility without a hint of hesitation or remorse. He electrocutes two men with a defibrillator, impales a woman through the heart with a stake because she's pale and looks like a vampire, and to top it all off he even explodes some canisters of oxygen to set the building on fire. Doctors and patients continue to be slaughter left and right like moving targets in a video arcade. Amidst the commotion Kirk and Christie escape through one of the side exits while Toon-Eyes is distracted setting an old man on fire with his fire-breath. Despite losing their quarry for the moment, Toon-Eyes and Wicked Tongue walk off into the city joking and laughing as the hospital burns sending black smoke and chilling screams trailing through the night.

After escaping from the hospital, Kirk changes into a Marvel/DC-style comic book character and the two rush back to Christie's apartment where they prepare to get out of town with help from Christie's roommate, Diana. While they're waiting for Diana to return with the car, Kirk and Christie have a moment as she looks over his wounds. Gradually, Christie finds herself becoming more and more entranced by Kirk's new illustrated physique, and before too long the two give into their instincts and start passionately making out...they don't get too far into things however as Diana soon returns with the car and supplies.

Diana is understandably confused (and shockingly aroused) when she finally sees Kirk. After a short bit of coaxing, she agrees to drive them to the next town over where they can hopefully decide what to do next from there, but when Diana goes to the kitchen to get some of her medication for the trip Toon-Eyes pops out of the cupboard taking her by surprise and giving her a fright. However Diana is not one to be taken without a fight and tries to fight Toon-Eyes off with a frying pan, and even goes so far as to jam his sicko tongue into the blender, but she ultimately ends up getting smacked around before Toon-Eyes pins her to the counter-top by stabbing her through both of her hands with kitchen knives. Kirk and Christie come back in after hearing the commotion from outside, and despite Kirk lunging forth to stop him, Toon-Eyes merely knocks him back across the room and over the couch with a cricket bat like he were a ping-pong ball. Following this, Toon-Eyes kills Diana by opening a portal to hell in their oven. Hellish demonic hands spring forth from out of the hellmouth and seize Diana by her legs pulling her in towards the fire. Christie tries to rush to her aid, but Toon-Eyes stands in the way with a butcher knife so she's forced to flee with Kirk as Diana screams at the top of her lungs telling them to run before being violently ripped from the kitchen counter and pulled through the oven into the fiery depths of Hell. Toon-Eyes laughs manically as we see him start to shimmer and change.

Kirk and Christie rush to the car, but not before Kirk also undergoes another dramatic transformation wherein his appearance changes from a manga comic-style to a Disney Renaissance/Saturday morning cartoon. Christie starts up the car and puts it into high gear speeding down the road with fearless abandon, but they don't get far before Toon-Eyes explodes onto the highway through a billboard in a grotesque monster truck made out of dinosaur bones and flaming tires. Toon-Eyes now looks like a late 90's anime character complete with Japanese dubbing and English subtitles. The demon toon and his perverse companion tear down the road after the two lovebirds cursing and taunting them in Japanese. Buildings and vehicles they pass along the road spontaneously combust as they make their way toward the wharf. Seeing that they're coming to a sharp turn, Christie tries to put on the brakes only to find that the brake lines have been cut. Her and Kirk scream as they fly off the road onto the docks with Toon-Eyes following after intent on chomping them with the jaws of his demon truck.

Almost instinctively, Kirk throws his arm around Christie drawing her close and throws his free arm out the window stretching it up high where he catches hold of a tower crane. Kirk pulls them both to safety as their car and Toon-Eyes plunge into the deep waters of the bay below. It's at this point that Kirk realizes he has all the same abilities as a classic cartoon, and with this knowledge in hand he stoops up Christie in his arms and races with cartoonish speed down the interstate leading out of the city. Down underwater in the bay, Wicked Tongue remarks on their current situation in Japanese which in turned is followed by Toon-Eyes glaring down at the English subtitles that appear below them and saying (also in Japanese) "We've got to do something about this weeaboo shit!"

Chapter 9: Over The River & Out of Town to Grandma's Retirement Home We Go!

After a bit of thought and conversing inside of a diner on the outskirts of town, Kirk and Christie come to the conclusion that there might just be a way to kill Toon-Eyes if they could just get their hands on Dom's old sketchbook. The only problem is that all of Dom's stuff was given to his grandmother after he died. The two then go to a Catholic nursing home halfway into the next county to find Dominic's grandmother who was placed into their care shortly after Dom's suicide to find out what she did with all of Dom's stuff.

At first, it's only Christie who enters the facility posing as the old woman's great grandniece. She finds the old woman in her room confined to a wheelchair. Christie tries to speak with her, but the old bag of course doesn't recognize her and proves to be extremely unwelcoming of visitors (relatives or otherwise). Suddenly Kirk's voice can be heard speaking in a soft pleading tone as he emerges from his hiding place inside Christie's purse. He pleads with the old woman trying to get her to remember him and talks about how much Dom meant to them both, and then proceeds to beg for her help. Despite his unreal appearance, Dom's grandmother is not afraid. Instead she wheels in closer to look Kirk right in his eyes and whispers, "You've seen it too?"

Dominic's grandmother explains that the very same night she received all of his things was the very same night she began having terrible nightmares; waking up in a cold sweat after seeing the most frightening visions. It wasn't long before she began seeing those same things in the waking world too; which eventually caused her to have her "little accident". The doctors say she merely fell down the stairs, but she was convinced that she was pushed; pushed by a "horrible bony creature". Dom's grandmother tells them that she put all of Dom's stuff away up in the attic of her house almost two hours away in another city. Kirk and Christie prepare to leave in order to find Dom's sketchbook, but that's when Agent Wilder and Agent Pandey enter the room with a couple of orderlies. Agent Wilder takes a moment to pridefully boasts proclaiming that he's finally got the evidence to prove to the agency that he was right along about the alien menace. Kirk and Christie try once again to explain about the murderous toon, but Agent Wilder remains convinced that there is no killer cartoon...until Toon-Eyes appears right beside him. Taunting them all vulgarly in Japanese, Toon-Eyes leaps up and kung-fus Agent Wilder into a nearby mirror before trying to chi-blast the rest of them into oblivion forcing the others to scatter to avoid the explosive attack.

A crazed chase then ensues as Kirk and Christie flee from the room pushing Dominic's grandmother along with them, but Toon-Eyes gives chase tearing through the nursing home spinning like a cyclone as he slashes and slices with a katana mowing down numerous nuns, orderlies, and elderly too slow to get out of the way. Christie tries to get Dom's grandmother to safety while Kirk attempts to fight off Toon-Eyes all while also evading Agents Wilder and Pandey, but they all become hopelessly lost and separated after Toon-Eyes calls upon the aid of his vicious weasel-dogs who chase the troop through open doorways into his world, "The Damned Country"; which takes the form of a twisted corridor of doors, platforms, and rooms spanning the length of a wild phantasmal space.

While Christie, Wilder, and Pandey try to make their way through the surreal dreamscape searching for Dom's grandmother, Toon-Eyes seemingly disposes of Kirk by pushing him through an open door into a wide open cartoon sky (and for added certainty he drops a mega-ton anvil out after him as well). After that Dom's grandmother sees the figure of her late grandson calling to her pleading for help, but it is only an illusion created by Toon-Eyes who appears behind her and kicks her chair throwing the old lady down a long elevator shaft. At the bottom of the shaft is a massive sea of colorful cartoon paint. Christie and Agent Pandey arrive too late to save her, and can do nothing but watch the poor woman's gruesome demise as she is pulled under screaming by a swarm of horrible painted abominations. The two then turn to face the grinning laughing figure of Toon-Eyes, now newly transformed into a late 90's/early 2000's CGI psuedo-realistic skeletal monstrosity. Toon-Eyes mocks them both as he gloats about killing them, when Agent Wilder emerges from the shadows pointing his gun at him. With a tremble in his voice Wilder says in a commanding tone,

"Freeze! As a representative of the United States government and the collective free nations of the planet Earth, I order you to cease all hostile extraterrestrial activity and take us immediately to your duly designated leader...please."

Toon-Eyes barely even responds to this; sparing a moment only to stare at Agent Wilder with a look that non-verbally equates to "are you fuckin' kidding" before pulling out a disintegrator ray and blasting the Fox Mulder wannabe right square in the gut, incinerating his entire body on a molecular level.

"I knew you were an alien!" Is the last thing that Agent Wilder painfully cries before his body disintegrates into ash.

Agent Pandey falls to his knees and bereaves his fallen partner before pulling out his gun and shooting at the nightmarish creature, but of course his bullets do no good. Toon-Eyes merely yawns and grins a fiendish grin before he snaps his fingers and commands his weasel-dogs to attack, but before the creatures can make their strike Kirk falls in from high above riding the same anvil that Toon-Eyes had thrown after him. The anvil crashes down atop the weasel-dogs crushing them like puddy. The force of the anvil striking the platform causes Toon-Eyes to lose his balance and fall off into the surreal void. It's only now after Toon-Eyes and his monstrous mutts are gone that Christie and Agent Pandey see that Kirk has transformed once again, now looking like a 1920's black 'n' white toon. Kirk and Christie now know that they're quickly running out of time.

Chapter 10: Showdown With Toon-Eyes

Upon realizing that the doors in the corridor are a means of trans-dimensional travel to all the places where Toon-Eyes has attacked them before. Kirk, Christie, and Agent Pandey try to find the right door to take them to the house where Dom's grandmother lived, but when Toon-Eyes appears (fluttering down in front of them like a disgruntled autumn leaf) they're forced into yet another crazed cartoonish chase. As they run through more and more doors they quickly discover that the doors can be used to travel not just to the places they had been before, but all around the world and to strange unearthly planes of existence.

The chase goes on for a short bit before Kirk returns the favor from earlier by pushing Toon-Eyes through an open door sending him plummeting down a deep chasm straight to Hell, but given the unbelievable events they have endured so far they know that they've likely not seen the last of him. After dispensing with Toon-Eyes (temporarily), the trio are lost as to how exactly to get where they want to go, but soon receive a tinge of help from a strange pig-faced turtle creature with duck feet and a beaver tail. The oddball character tells Kirk that all he has to do is hold a clear picture of what he wants in his mind and the doors will simply take him where wants to be. When they ask the strange toon what he's doing there in that place he simply replies,

"Well, these plotholes aren't going to fill themselves after all."

After finally arriving at Mrs. Russo's old home, it is not long before Toon-Eyes returns popping through the TV after first posing as a news anchorman. Kirk tells Christie to find the sketchbook while he and Agent Pandey try to hold off Toon-Eyes. Kirk tries to use his newfound cartoon powers to his advantage. He attempts to pull a useful weapon out of Hammerspace, but only manages to whip out a sickly rubber chicken who coughs a few times and then dies. This just makes Toon-Eyes point and laugh.

"You need practice, son. Here! Let me show you how a pro does it!!" Toon-Eyes says whipping out a massive rocket launcher.

He fires a rocket at Kirk and Agent Pandey, but the two men drop to the floor and the missile flies over their heads, smashes through the front window, and sails across the street blowing up the house across the way. Toon-Eyes laughs wildly at the chaos, but his laughter is cut short when Kirk tackles him leading to the two toons breaking out into a full-blown brawl within a cartoonish cloud of smoke. The two bounce and tumble all around the house from the downstairs to the upstairs and across the ceiling. Agent Pandey tries to rush to Kirk's aid but only catches a punch for his trouble. Toon-Eyes strikes the poor man so hard that he flies through the upstairs window and across the yard until he hits his car on the other side of the street bouncing off the hood and landing unconscious onto the sidewalk. Meanwhile, upstairs, Christie frantically begins pouring through boxes containing Dom's old stuff only succeeding in finding porn...lots and lots of gay porn.

What follows next is an incredibly brutal animated brawl wherein Toon-Eyes batters Kirk's 1920's two-tone body to high hell and back. Kirk gets bashed in the face and gut with mallets, clubs, a wrecking ball, frying pan, and an iron mace, slashed across the belly, cheek, and arms with knives, stabbed through the chest and stomach with swords, hacked in the back and across the neck with a battle axe, has his foot stomped by a steel-toed boot, gets cracked in the groin with a crowbar, takes it right between the eyes from a spring-powered boxing glove, and finally blasted clear through a wall by a cannonball from a cannon. The ink which is Kirk's blood is splattered everywhere and Kirk lies out on the floor looking like a battered cartoon corpse from Hell.

Upstairs however Christie seems to have finally found Dom's old sketchbook, but no sooner does she open it up to try and find Toon-Eyes' picture than a massive buzzsaw begins cutting a large circle all around her. The attic floor beneath her gives way and she collapses with the floor down into the living room below. It takes Christie a minute or to regain consciousness after that awful fall, but when she does she finds Toon-Eyes standing over her with a grim reaper's scythe.

"Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for YO ASS, BITCH!!!" Is what Toon-Eyes says before raising his weapon to strike her, but before he can Kirk leaps in tackling Toon-Eyes to the ground as he shouts for Christie to find the drawing.

Just as Christie finds and prepares to tear up the drawing, Toon-Eyes tosses Kirk away and pulls out a plunger detonator which he uses to blowing the whole place up. Kirk saves Christie from the blast however by wrapping his rubbery cartoon body around her. What's left of the house lies in burning ruins as Kirk and Christie find themselves laying amongst the rubble The explosion combined with everything else has left Kirk feeling weak and woozy. He tells Christie to destroy the drawing and with little more hesitation she tosses the drawing along with the entire sketchbook in the fire of the smoldering wreck. The two take a moment to embrace the calm and breathe a sigh of relief, but just when they think that the nightmare is finally over they feel a rumble from the ground as Toon-Eyes erupts forth from out of the burning rubble. He's no longer a CGI toon, but now a gigantic shape-shifting body-morphing claymation character.

"Did Y'll bitch-asses really think it was going to be THAT easy?!" he roars with thunderous laughter.

He morphs his hand into a giant spiked ball and swings downward at Kirk and Christie. Kirk uses his rubber arms to push Christie out of harm's way, but gets caught under the full weight of the mace himself. Toon-Eyes then morphs his hand into a mallet and squashes Kirk several more times before Christie runs forth screaming at him to stop, but Toon-Eyes just laughs as he watches her cradle Kirk in her arms as he slowly starts to sputter out of existence.

Thinking he's won Toon-Eyes throws up his arms in celebration and as he does skeletal wings grow from out of his back. He and Wicked Tongue laugh maniacally as Kirk faintly apologizes to Christie and starts to say his goodbyes. This results in Christie giving Kirk a loving sentimental speech telling him that he has to stop blaming himself for everything that happens, and that when times are hardest its the love of the ones you care for that gives you the strength to face reality. Toon-Eyes merely mocks their affectionate display, but to his horror the sappy cliché actually works causing a bright blue and white portal to open up before them.

Lightning then streaks down from overhead striking Toon-Eyes square in the head. From out of the hellish space contained within his noggin the souls of all the people he's slain fly out and are sucked into the portal. Toon-Eyes and Wicked Tongue both scream in pain and terror as their power diminishes causing them to slowly revert back through all their prior transformations. By the time the two demons are sucked up into the portal they are both 1930's "rubber hose" toons again, but the further they fly into the depths of the wormhole the more their toony forms start unravel. Wicked Tongue is the first to go followed by Toon-Eyes' body until their is nothing left but a floating head careening further and further into oblivion. Toon-Eyes lets out one more crude cry of defiance in which he says "FUCK This Disney Bullshit!!" before a violent explosion wipes him from existence and closes the portal with a brilliant flash.

With Toon-Eyes gone, Kirk gradually changes back into his true human self as Christie and Agent Pandey try and help him to his feet. Nine months later we join, Kirk and Christie after their idyllic wedding. The two happily leave the chapel and enter into a rented limo only to discover, to their horror, that the driver is none other than Toon-Eyes who laughs vilely. The scene draws to a close with the limo speeding away as Kirk and Christie scream in terror.

Alternate Ending

In this ending, after chasing them to an abandon scrap yard and killing Agent Pandey, Toon-Eyes finally gets his wish and becomes real, but because real skeletons don't move and are inherently dead he and Wicked Tongue die right there on the spot collapsing into a pile of inanimate bones. However with his only bridge between both worlds gone Kirk slowly fades from earthly reality bidding Christie a tearful good-bye as he leaves her all alone to face the cold harsh reality of the world by herself. As Christie cries and sobs all alone we find that Kirk has become permanently trapped in "The Damned Country" and without Christie to keep his humanity in tact he gives into his new state of inhumanity gradually slipping into madness as his cries slowly evolve into a din of wild cartoonish laughter.

Well, it took me about a week and a half, but I'm finally done writing up the basic plot synopsis for my conceptual horror film, "Blood Ink"...now I just have to finish writing the full script. Have Mercy! Wish me luck. This will probably take me a while. :/

For those who don't already know, "Blood Ink" is my idea for a live-action/animated horror film about a killer cartoon character on the rampage. Read the synopsis to learn more, and feel free to check out my social media and Patreon if you like my concept and want to help support it...I can definitely use all the help I can get. ^^'
