During my time on Deviantart, I've seen all manner of different artwork from across the spectrum of talent, and one type of art I see in high abundance is fanart. It's always refreshing to see the spirit of timeless characters I grew up loving and still love to this day immortalized not only in their original cartoons and movies, but in the hearts of their fans who keep them alive in the fanart and fan-fiction they make out of love, passion, and nostalgia. And as we all know, there are even different "genres" of fanart you'll find on the internet. You have the loyal adaptations which try to capture the characters in their exact spirit as depicted in the original source material, there are the "poetic deviations" wherein the artist tries to re-envision the characters in a different light than what was portrayed in the original series or films, and perhaps the strangest genre of fanart...erotica! This is of course where the artist illustrates and re-envisions the characters in sexual and pornographic scenes which usually stray extremely far from what was established by the source material, and while there are even more genres of erotic fanart, the type I presently address is the very peculiar genre of Yaoi.
Now I've seen plenty of Yaoi fanart and fan-fiction on the internet, and while much of it leaves me both amazed and befuddled there is definitely something I've taken away from genre and fandom. After seeing many types of Yaoi fanart depicting timeless, popular, and beloved animated male heroes in fanciful homosexual relationships and settings, it has come to my realization that there is a serious cultural need for a cherishable animated love story which appeals to the LGBT community. Generation after generation of people have grown up with their own favorite heterosexual fairytale couples, but now with the changing of times and growing awareness of alternative lifestyles, I think that there is a significant need for a timeless animated fairytale which illustrates the beauty of homosexual love just like all those which have illustrated the beauty of heterosexual relationships. It is for this reason, I have long pondered about potential stories I could write to give the world just that, and after much thought and meditation I have found it! I have begun writing what shall hopefully be among the first children stories to glorify the beauty of homosexuality. I have begun writing, "The Soldier and the Prince"!
It's a fairly simple, yet imaginative tale which incorporates many elements from already beloved stories like Aladdin, Peter Pan, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the Nutcracker. It's a story about a young gay soldier, wrongfully accused of treason, who mysteriously crosses over into a magical land where he must help an extraordinary young prince reclaim his kingdom from his evil twin brother and his army of hellish demons. I have high hopes for this story, and I can only pray it goes on to accomplish the task I intend for it to accomplish and perhaps break grounds never before broken.
I have already begun writing the first chapter. As I finish each chapter, I shall upload the rough draft of the story here to this account for all to read. Feedback will be most helpful as I hope to make this story perfect. In addition, I will also be uploading the chapters for my other novel, "The Mystery of Magma Mountain" here too. With any luck I'll be able to get these books published within a year or two's time...if Lady Luck is on my side.
Feedback please! Tell me what you all think of this idea.

The Toon 5some Saga: The Publishing Schedule
I always operate under the assumption that the worst may come to pass and I may not have the liberty to hold out on releasing my work until a designated time; hence the reason why I upload parts of my unfinished books and scripts in the event I (for whatever reason) are unable to complete them. That way at least part of the story is told and perhaps some intuitive creative mind can come after me and complete my work in the spirit that I began it. So with that in mind, I upload this journal detailing a general timeline/schedule that my collection of books/movies and series are to follow.
Core Series

The Toon 5some's On Facebook!
As much as I hate Facebook, I do recognize that a lot of people are on it, and it is a great outlet for exposure, so as a result I have reluctantly launched the official Toon 5some Facebook page. If you like my work and you're on Facebook check it out and share it with friends...because I could definitely use the exposure.

Publishing My Scripts?
Beginning as of last year, I have been progressively revising and uploading the scripts for my original cartoon series here partly to help garner interest for my series and characters (as well as hopefully garnering aid in making my series), but also for the interest of archival management; for should worst come to worst at least some degree of my work will be available for future generations to see.
However now I've begun entertaining a slightly different approach which is not so much a step in another direction as much as it is a progressive step forward in expanding the reach of my series. I've begun contemplating publishing my scripts as
Patreon and Tapastic
I was going to wait until I had finished a special drawing to help announce this news, but what the hell (most people don't read journal entries anyway), so at any rate I now have accounts on both Patreon and Tapastic where I host my core work regarding my original comic and cartoon series.
For those who are unfamiliar, Patreon is like an electronic tip-jar for artists. It basically combines the features of Deviantart and Kickstarter. Through Patreon an artist can display their work and fans can help support the artist's work by donating a set amount of money (which you set yourself) to that artist per month or creation. Tapastic is a little
